The 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk has finally been unveiled, boasting the more practical SUV body but fuelled with a supercharge similar to the Dodge Challenger.
When you lift the bonnet you will find an impressive 6.2-litre supercharged V8, developing 527kW of power and 874Nm of torque. The all-wheel drive system via an eight-speed automatic transmission has been upgraded over the regular Grand Cherokee models to deal with the demands of the Hellcat engine.
Whilst Australia’s road rules restrict you from testing out the cars full capacity, the Jeep Cherokee Trackhawk has an impressive top speed of 290km/h just short of the Bentley’s top speed of 301km/h – rev heads will be frothing at the mouth!
The inside is good enough to host a fine dining dinner party, with active noise cancellation technology, ‘Berber’ floor mats with ‘Trackhawk’ branding, a leather-stitched instrument panel, nappa leather/suede seats with ‘Trackhawk’ embroidering, heated and ventilated front seats, along with heated rear seats, just to name a few.
